Ginger - This is a great natural anti-inflammatory, soothing sore throats, and bringing down the inflammation. Ginger root has been found to kill rhinoviruses which is what causes colds in the first place. Ginger is also helpful for settling upset stomachs, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweats.

Especially good for fighting upper respiratory infections. Being an expectorant, making it easier to cough up phlegm. Cloves are also a natural painkiller.
Ceylon Cinnamon - Fully Loaded with Antioxidants and potent Anti-inflammatory properties. studies have shown it even outranks top superfoods like Garlic and Oregano. Cinnamaldehyde, one of the main active components of cinnamon, has been shown to help fight various kinds of infections. Cinnamon has been shown to effectively treat respiratory tract infections caused by fungi.
Dried Lemon Peel - An excellent source of Calcium, Potassium, and Vitamin A. The presence of dietary fiber in lemon peels helps encourage healthy digestion and boosting your immune system.
This recipe has been in my family for generations. When we were sick as a kid...mom went and got the Elderberry Syrup from the fridge, or brewed up some fresh elderberry tea. I grew up being taught how to live off the land and forging mountain-grown herbs.
