Elderberry Syrup Recipe
• 1 cup dried elderberries
• 4 cups water
• 1 cup raw honey
• 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick
• 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
• 1 organic lemon, sliced
• 1 teaspoon whole cloves

Instructions:

1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine elderberries, water, Ceylon cinnamon stick, ginger, lemon slices, and cloves.
2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce by half.
3. While simmering, use the back of a spoon to crush some of the elderberries against the side of the pot. This helps release additional juices and enhances flavor.
4. After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.
5. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl or pitcher. Be sure to press the berries to extract all the liquid.
6. Once the liquid has cooled to warm but not hot, stir in the raw honey until well combined. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
7. Pour the elderberry syrup into a sterilized glass jar or bottles.
8. Seal the container tightly and store the syrup in the refrigerator.

Usage:

• For daily immune support: Adults can take 1 tablespoon, and children can take 1 teaspoon.
• During illness: Adults can take 1 tablespoon, three times a day, while children can take 1 teaspoon, three times a day. Adjust as needed based on individual health conditions.
